I posted my problem on some Trojan removal fourms and they agree that something nasty is effecting me, but they are not sure what/how either. The worst part is I can't find the virus/trojan and its so new that no anti-virus/anti-spyware program is picking it up. The firewall is blocking the connections, but I can see how this would be causing me a 10053 error. Yesterday I installed McAfee Firewall and got over 600 unauthorized hits (from about 20 of the same IP addresses) on my emule port with emule closed. I have seen more and more people getting it on these boards. Then when done do sudo pglgui and thats it.

I am pretty sure that this is some kind of undiscovered trojan virus that is spread through Emule. error if try with gui) it will take a minute to update lists.

If you are suspecting something to do with config files, then simply install a new clean version to a separate directory. I'm not sure though how to just add a specific IP address. I also have Peer Guardian 2 running and not helping. How do I clear my know client list ? Also How do I add a specific IP to my blocklist? Right now I have the bluetac list loaded in my IP filter, but its not helping. This leads me to believe That someone I am connected to through Emule is somehow getting into my POP 3 server and overloading it and thats producing a error 10053 message. So there should be no way I should be recieving a email to be scanned when I have no email client open. The funny thing is I when this message is popping up I have no email client open and no Web Browser open. When I am first connecting to emule I am getting my AVG Anti-Virus popup message that says I'm begining to believe its someone on my known client list that is messing me up. They assure me they have changed nothing. I have talked to Comcast at great length about this.
